Thursday, November 12, 2009 - Business Faces the Health Care Challenge: In Search of Innovative & Practical Strategies. Saint Mary's Campus Soda Center - Safeway and Oracle are two of our greatest contemporary corporate success stories, not just here in their Bay Area home, but on the national and global stage. Join with your fellow business managers and leaders to hear reports from Safeway and Oracle on how they are responding to today's health care challenge. What exactly are they doing? How could these approaches translate and apply to my company and work environment? $20 for SMC alumni, $25 for non-alumni, free for SMC students.
Saturday, November 14-15, 2009 - Southern California Rugby Matches. Come watch the nationally ranked Saint Mary's College Rugby Club open the 2009-10 season with several non-league matches to be played in Southern California on the weekend of Nov. 14 and 15. This is a rare opportunity for Southern California SMC alumni to see the highly successful Gael Ruggers in action. On Saturday, the Gaels will play the Santa Monica Rugby Club Men's team at 1:00 p.m., at Daniel Webster Middle School, 1130 Graham Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90064. That match will be followed by two games against Loyola Marymount. On Sunday, three matches will be played beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Peninsula Park, 128 A Street, Newport Beach. This beautiful pitch is 100ft from the Pacific Ocean adjacent to the Balboa Pier. The two early games are against Long Beach State University, followed by SMC playing Back Bay Rugby Club at 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, November 17, 2009 - Exploring the Cosmos by Spacecraft and Paint Brush. The Hearst Art Gallery and the School of Science, in conjunction with the current exhibit, Out of This World: The Landscapes of Our Solar System, present this event with astronomer, artist and author William K. Hartmann, Ph.D., from 7 to 8 pm, in Claeys Lounge, Soda Activity Center. Free of charge. Stargazing and Leonid Meteor Shower Watch follows his presentation, from 8:30 pm, on the Soda Activity Center patio and lawn.

Tuesday, December 1, 2009 - Episcopal Lecture Featuring Bishop Stephen Blair. Join other alumni for the Episcopal lecture featuring Bishop Stephen Blair of the Stockton Diocese. Bishop Blair's lecture is titled "Human Development: Pastoral Reflections on "Populorum Progressio" After 42 Years. More details coming soon.

Thursday, January 14, 2010 - Men's Basketball Pre-Game Party vs. Gonzaga. Join fellow Gaels for a "Bulldog Roast" prior to the men's basketball game vs. Gonzaga. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served for dinner. More details are coming soon.
Saturday, January 30, 2010 - Men's Lacrosse Alumni Game, Dinner & Celebration. Join Saint Mary's College alumni, friends and family members on Saturday, Jan. 30, in celebration of 21 years of Men's Lacrosse at SMC. Events begin at 2 p.m. on the front field with the annual alumni game. Dinner will follow at 6 p.m. (in Dryden Student Union) and will include keynote alumni speakers, a tribute to the 1990 WCLL Championship Team, an introduction to the 2010 team, and a silent auction. Dinner cost is $30 per adult. Kids under 12 yrs. are free. RSVP and pay online by Jan. 25. All event proceeds to benefit SMC Men's Lacrosse. Click here to view last year's press release and photos.

Monday, February 1, 2010 - A Reception for Capitol Gaels. Saint Mary's College Alumni from the Washington DC area are cordially invited to join Brother President Ronald Gallagher, FSC, fellow Alumni and special guests for a reception at the Rayburn building from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The event is free of charge and will include a College update from the President.
